The innovative EN-TACT® (Emergency Noninvasive Tissue And Compartment Testing) device is used to detect compartment syndrome quickly and non-invasively. Compartment syndrome is a painful condition that results when pressure within the muscles builds to dangerous levels and prevents nourishment from reaching nerve and muscle cells. The ultrasonic device is more portable than traditional phased-array imaging systems and does not require specialized expertise to operate. It is therefore ideal for sports medicine (ex. long distance runners, football), trauma and military combat situations in which compartment syndrome is common.

To further aid the trauma and sports medicine communities, the EN-TACT® device measures intracranial pressure for quick, painless diagnostic screening in head trauma victims. While the current intracranial pressure diagnostic procedure is a combination of an MRI, spinal tap and in some cases a catheter inserted into the brain, the EN-TACT® patient monitor is completely non-invasive, displays immediate results and requires only a small portable testing device.
